Fragments of beloved china — broken dishes, vintage plates— soldered (lead free) into one of a kind pendants. Every piece carries numerous stories of the past and the perhaps the future.
The Story
A dish breaks and most people throw it away. The artist picks up the pieces. Her china shard pendants begin with fragments of vintage and antique china — estate sale finds, thrift store orphans, chipped pieces from sets that can no longer be completed. Roses, blue willow patterns, holiday scenes, botanical prints, mid-century graphics. Each shard is a glimpse into warm memories of past gatherings.
The artist wraps each fragment in lead free solder, finishing the edges so they're smooth and wearable, then attaches a bail and chain. No two are alike. The shape of the break determines the shape of the pendant — the artist then picks from the shards and hand shapes them into tiny pieces of art.
These make meaningful gifts — especially when someone brings a piece of a dish that matters to them. If you have broken china from a family set, a grandmother's teacup, a wedding plate, bring it to the artist. She'll make it wearable again.

These are great for families who want to keep a memory of a special estate piece, but don’t have room for a whole set of china in a cabinet.
